Hugs. So, where do you go from here?
We have a meeting with a seizure specialist tomorrow. I sincerely hope he has a large stash of magic bullets!
I suspect this was not an over night or 48 hour study. But really, the question is not whether she is having them but what will be the best way to prevent and reduce the number of them, right? That's where your new doctor who understands LM"s brain injury will be so valuable. Don't be discouraged. Remember, we are all with you in those doctor's offices, right next to you, supporting you - not just for IEPs but for all the hard stuff. xoxo
Thanks Karen. So of course you know that your support means so much to me. It's just so frustrating! Normal EEG yesterday and just a little over 24 hours later? Little Miss has had another seizure. It's exhausting.(And no... you are right -- it was just a cheap-o 30-minute EEG. I think we are going to request a longer one when we see the specialist tomorrow. God help me.)
Karla - Miss Karen up there is always preaching to us about the 24 hour EEG. Maybe this is what LM needs?? Obviously, something is up, no matter what the EEG results were. I know you just met with him today but I'm anxious to hear what the seizure specialist had to say. I so, so, so hope that he has a plan and feels confident that he can help LM. I have been praying and will continue to do so - your precious family is never far from my thoughts these days.
